We only use wood that comes from well-managed and replanted forests. Acorn sources oak from Lithuanian forests that are strictly regulated by local government authorities.
Lithuania successfully completed Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) forest management certification of all state-owned forest operations. The certification is valid proof of the country’s responsible state forestry and its compliance with the international principles of stable and well-balanced forest management.
Richard Donovan, Director of Smartwood, the world’s leading non-profit FSC forest certifier said, ‘Lithuania has set a good precedence for forest management practices in the Baltic Region and Europe in general. The process has been challenging, the results impressive. I extend my congratulations.*’
